Our Work and Impact

From creating brand-new affordable homes for veterans, seniors and the people powering Boston’s rapid growth, to providing access to fresh, nutritious food, these are some of the successes we are particularly proud of in our 35-year history serving South Boston.

In 2020, we helped more than 165 people stay in their South Boston homes because their rent remained stable and affordable, and we created an additional 46 brand-new, permanently affordable apartments for seniors.

As housing costs continue to rise throughout the region, and especially in South Boston, even middle-income families are at risk of being displaced from our community.

Contribute to our work and help more families stay in Southie.

Taste of South Boston

A local tradition since 2002, the annual Taste of South Boston showcases more than two dozen local restaurants while supporting South Boston NDC’s mission. Proceeds fund new construction and the conversion of market-rate to permanently affordable homes, preventing the displacement of South Boston residents.
