Applications are now available for our 46 brand-new, affordable one-bedroom apartments for seniors at 5 O'Connor Way Senior Housing!

The rental process for income-restricted apartments is quite different from the process most people are familiar with, and it is strictly regulated by Fair Housing laws. Please carefully review the following information, and call South Boston NDC at 617-464-2483 or email o'connorway@sbndc.org with any questions, before submitting an application.

RENT PRICES
All apartments at O'Connor Way are income-restricted, meaning they are only available to households earning below a certain annual income. The rent that tenants can expect to pay is dependent on their income, and will not exceed $1,333.

Five apartments are designated for households earning up to 30% of Area Median Income (AMI), and rent will be set at 30% of the household income. Seventeen apartments are designated for households earning up to 50% of AMI. Rent for those apartments will also be set at 30% of the household income.

The remaining 24 apartments will be designated for households earning between 50-60% AMI, and rent will be between $1,111-$1,333, depending on household size. These apartments will be filled by a lottery process.

All apartments are age-restricted, so residents must be at least 62 years old by the move-in date, and there is a preference for Boston residents.
