SBNDC Hires Development and Communications Director

SBNDC welcomes Ginger DeShaney as Development and Communications Director. Ginger has an extensive background in journalism as a reporter, photographer, and copy editor and has worked at several community newspapers as well as the Chicago Sun-Times, the Boston Herald, and the Boston Globe. She is currently a freelance reporter and photographer for South Boston Online. Twelve years ago, Ginger entered the nonprofit sector, working for MitoAction in a variety of roles, including Director of Operations & Communications, and volunteering and freelancing for several other nonprofits. Ginger and her family have lived in South Boston for more than 20 years and she is looking forward to making a bigger impact on her community.
