SBNDC gardeners are digging for spring

Before closing up the community gardens and flower beds for winter, our gardeners had one final floral trick up their sleeves: bulbs for the spring!

Our intrepid gardeners Noah, Robert, and Courtney were hard at work between rain storms the last couple of weeks planting bulbs throughout the neighborhood so we can all enjoy the colorful surprises come spring.

At right, Noah plants bulbs outside of Patriot Homes on Athens Street before forecasted below-freezing temperatures. With wintry weather on the horizon, we are already looking forward to seeing those bright springtime petals and the seasonal thaw that comes with them!
