SBNDC intern Grace Levin wins Harvard award
Grace Levin, an intern with South Boston NDC, was named Harvard Graduate Student Employee of the Year! Nominated by Executive Director Donna Brown, Grace was honored at a dinner hosted by the Harvard Student Employment Office recently.

SBNDC Spotlight: Courtney Mulligan, Farmers Market Manager
Courtney Mulligan started her career at South Boston NDC as a 13-year-old Youth Ambassador. That summer seven years ago, she learned how to plant flowers and water plants and trees properly and got a feel for the work South Boston NDC does.
Now, Courtney, 19, is the new Farmers Market Manager, taking over from Noah White, who will be graduating from Suffolk University in May.

O’Connor Way Spotlight: Steve McNeil
Steve McNeil is quick to say there are a lot of characters living at South Boston NDC’s O’Connor Way Senior Housing. But the biggest character of them all may just be his bulldog, Sir Maxwell Babbington III.
“Max is the mascot here,” Steve said. “He is a character!”
Everyone loves Max, a 1-year-old friendly, loving – not to mention adorable – pooch!

Michaela’s Market seeking local makers
Attention local makers: Michaela’s Market is seeking vendors to pop up in her temporary space at South Boston NDC’s Taylor’s Market location.
“I’m looking for people who are interested in expanding and growing their own personal businesses,” said Michaela Colvin, who has the space at 369 W. Broadway until July 1, 2023.

Adam Gibbons has hit the ground running in his new role as Resident Services Coordinator at South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation’s O'Connor Way Senior Housing.
On the job since Feb. 22, 2023, he’s learning the ropes and everyone’s names, and kicking his new career path into high gear.
